ABOUT US

Because Argentina is known for being a cultural melting pot the Argentine flavours reflect the influence of the Spanish, Italians, French, (the list could go on - lets just say European!) migrants that settled and called Argentina home. Likewise, since migrating to Australia our

family has embraced some Aussie classics too.

Leon & Rose has been a labour of love. It evolved to what it is today because I was encouraged by family and friends to take my

passion to the next level.

Having baked and cooked from a young age on a kitchen stool beside

my grandparents and parents and having the terrible reputation of

wiping my dusty flour hands all over my grandmothers apron instead of

my own, my happy place has always been in the kitchen preparing anything I thought would put a smile on my families faces.

As I grew into a young adult, I made cakes and tarts for a few select restaurants & cafés around Adelaide but never pursued it.

Today, using the same recipes my great grandfather used in 1908

when selling Empanadas and churros on the streets of Buenos Aires,

and the same recipes my great auntie used when the local workers

started asking her to make a 'few extra' for their lunch when her

kitchens aromas would spill out onto the streets I share with you my family's love affair with food.

Every dish is hand crafted and batch made - unique and just for you.
